Choul Lee holds a M.F.A. in Set design at Yale School of Drama and a B.A. in Stage and Production Design at Korea National University of Arts.

His recent design credits include scenic design for “Comfort Women” A New Musicul in LA, “Korean Fever : Returnsat New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center, “A Streetcar Named Desire”, “Mozart and Me”, K-pop concert in New York City, “If Pretty Hurts Ugly Must Be a Muhfucka”, “Collisions”, “Blood Wedding”, Dutch Masters, “The Skin of Our Teeth”, “The Merchant of Venice”, and “Your Story”. Other credits include Digital Theme Park (Virtual Reality Space) and Environment Sculpture. He won the UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Arts School Exhibit at the 07 Prague Quadrennial in Czech Republic and the 06 KOSTAT EXPO (Asia Stage Design Contest).
